IEA/ECBCS Annex 42 is an international research project focusing on the modelling of fuel cell and other cogeneration technologies in the building environment. Annex 42 operates under the auspices of the International Energy Agency's (http://www.iea.org) Energy Conservation in Community Systems (http://www.ecbcs.org/) program.
Objectives of Annex 42 include:
Objectives of Annex 42 include:
- the characterization of occupant-driven electrical and domestic hot water usage patterns,
- the development and validation models of fuel cell and cogeneration technologies,
- the integration of these models into existing, publicly-available whole-building simulation programs, and
- the technical, environmental and economic assessment of selected cogeneration applications using the models developed within the annex.
